Despite him being poor he was still an improvement on Taylor. There were time where he showed decent attributes for a centre back, but a full back he aint. I would rather see him tried in central defence and see Mings at left back for 2-3 games and see if he looks better.

Midfield is the real problem, the defence get no protection and the ball just keeps coming back at them.

He's no marauding full back that's for sure.

Seems not the best finesse or balance wise .
Polite way of saying he looks clumsy but he got 90mins on pitch.

Doesn't offer much over half  way line.  Does have some physicality, left foot and not Taylor

Problem is he offers nothing going forward.

Defensively he competed, which is more than Taylor. Swap him and Mings like SHQ suggested.

Should get some games at CB.

It would actually make sense if we really want to sign him and Mings full time to use the last 14 games to actually see what Hause looks like at CB and if Mings can actually be a good LB.

Problem is with Chester injured/out of sorts this season and Elphick having the odd blunder in him, Mings is our best CB so I wouldn't want to move him.

The reality is Mings played vast majority of his career as a left back for Ipswich and Bournemouth.

I just assumed Smith is plugging gags. He hasn't been bad at CB but considering he's played as a left back and previous clubs and it's really a jinx position for us it would be nice for him to get a chance to be our best one in about a decade.

Yep. He's trying to plug gaps. Number of goals conceded has shaken him.

Tonight we may as well have played a wardrobe at left back.

What a load of shit, somehow we've ended up with someone elses unfit center back as our left back.

Who the fuck is scouting these players and where are their ideas coming from?

Clearly scouted by someone who knows nothing about football, which we haven't collectively for nearly ten years. We never seem to learn.

Not a left back, lacks any sort of pace and awareness what is going on around him, as the lady who sits behind me said "cart horse"

Possibly might be ok as a CB when fit but not a left back in a million years.

if we haven’t got anyone in the u23 better than Hause we might as well close the whole academy thing down

Agree john e.  What is the point of the time, effort and money of a youth system if we cannot produce a potentially better left back than Kortney Hause.
