I'm thinking of taking my 7 year old to this match. Knowing Stoke are sort of local and their fans can can be a bit rowdy also, what is the atmosphere like at these games?

Agree with others that it'll be absolutely fine, even Albion aren't really any trouble.I used to go in the North Stand upper when I went as a kid, loved being able to see the sight of the away fans and Holte End in full view.
Following the shocking events seen at Port Vale on Tuesday, there could well be an increased police presence for this match.
The only place I can get two tickets together is the North Stand. I've never been there, in fact I still think of it as the away end. I've heard it is a bit of a dump. Is that right? I might wait to see if the Upper Trinity opens (which I'm sure it will if we beat West Brom).

I doubt it will have much bearing on what happens at Villa Park.
