You want lessons on giving explanations on moral victories, just read this it is comedy gold

'The Reverse Fixture Thread' (Yes, already)!

"Give them 800 tickets, open 'The John Merrick' and sue WMP and the EFL if they try to prevent us from doing so".

Do they have enough money to fund litigation against the police and football league?

Durrrr Nose - Are you not even aware of EFL regulations?  It's 2,000 minimum if your ground holds 20,000 or more.

This shit about no Villa fans in Birmingham is bollocks. Their supporters generally come from  South Birmingham. Ours come from the North Districts amongst others. They have to pass through the city centre to get to Villa Park. Ours will quite often get to Villa Park without having to pass through the city. And what, none of them life anywhere else? I see posts by London blue, Redditch Blue amongst others. Utter utter bullshit.  And drinking in town in the evening? Who generally wears a football shirt to a pub in the evening? I go back into the city centre to get a bite to eat after home games and it's full of claret and blue shirts that's been to the game. No blue tops. I see more Arsenal or Chelsea tops in New Street than I do Blues. They can't beat us on the pitch so they have to try and best us off it.

And the irony is that the vast majority of the Elizabeth Duke Bollocks swinging pondlife come from Redditch and Solihull. That southside supporter base has really whittled down over the past 20 years..i reckon places like Longbridge are now 50/50

Birmingham is the 2nd biggest city in England.  Do they even think through their silly claims.  They get 21,000 for home matches ffs.  Is that a true reflection on the proportion of fans who watch football in the city?

For clarity, Sheffield is 3 or 400,000 smaller in population yet both Sheffield clubs get more through their turnstiles than Blues.  Derby, Norwich and Stoke are all a fraction of the size of Birmingham yet they all get bigger crowds than Blues.

Blues are a minority in their city and the figures support this.

Personally, I don't care where our fans come from, I don't care who carries the city's name and I don't care where our wonderful fans drink before games.  I do care that we got 3 points on Sunday though and having grown up in south Birmingham, I thank God that somehow, he guided me towards the club that all of us love so dearly.

Firstly they are probably not aware of EFL regulations and secondly they would get confused with the maths side of working out the allocations percentage.

Don't forget they won THE trophy today. The one you get for claiming to have more fans drinking in pubs in town.

The whole thing about drinking in town is absolutely hilarious to me.

I feel like it's entirely based on them not seeing many Villa fans about, neglecting the fact that 39,000 of us are at the game?

I think it is very much based on the fact that a far larger percentage of their fans insist on leaving the house dressed up as if they are the matchday mascot.

Is Ward end/Glebe/Washwood Heath/Bromford in the south ?
My Geography and memory is not very good, But certainly when I was at school this was more Claret than Blue.
I accept that Alum Rock, the place by the Tampon factory (I have forgotten the name) was a bit more Blue.
My first encounter with them was a 0-0 69-70, 54,000 in Villa Park I was 13 and on my own. In those days you paid at the gate, with no segregation.
My memory looking up from the bottom of the huge Holte End was seeing a line of police between the two fans.
Plenty of them on the Holte that day.
in the return game at the sty , 2-0 us, them in the ground early lobbing bricks and other treasured parts of the Kop down on queues of Villa fans waiting to pay.
Rioch,  McMahon, Kop rocking with Villa, Villa.
I a not sure where this imagination of them being the tuff guys and us being the bobble hat tossers comes from.
I can with great certainty attest that from the middle of the 70,s when they were supposed to be, tuff, tuff, tuff we were not cissies.
Anyone who remembers the pub haunts in town from that time would remember, the City was not theirs.
Them Gilded Cage and Windsor. Less said about intervention in the latter the better.
Times have changed, going to the football is not about who is toughest and that is the way it should be, support the team and be proud of your colours.
They cling to the memories of when they were in with a shout for being tuff, those days are gone but they have nothing else.
Am I obsessed with them, no, not until the week leading up to the game, then I wish all of the plagues of ancient Egypt on them.
I love an earlier posters suggestion that we should be singing about  Small Heath and not Birmingham.
It seemed to have traction at Sundays game.
This will boil their piss even more , love it.

I spent eight years managing a betting shop on the border of Washwood Heath and Alum rock. My older punters tended to be middle aged/old aged white Small Heath fans. My younger punters tended to be Asian Villa fans. Which suggests to me that a mainly Blues area has over the years has become more of a Villa area. It also suggests to me that as well as Villa having a larger Asian fan base we probably are also picking up more younger fans than Small Heath.

Some answers :)
Is Ward end/Glebe/Washwood Heath/Bromford in the south ? No but sadly no longer Villa. Full of glory hunters.

I accept that Alum Rock, the place by the Tampon factory (I have forgotten the name) was a bit more Blue. The factory was Southalls now an empty site waiting any further development. Alum Rock is totally manu red and it boils my piss. >:(

This is a thing of beauty.  But go to the last five minutes if you want to hear all of the turgid stereotypes and hard luck stories for true comedy value.

Solihull / Dorridge / Knowle aren’t the SHA strongholds people seem to think either. Obviously there’s a few around but not the younger generations - I run a kids football team with 11 players, only one of which is a Nose and I asked my son if there was much banter at school on Monday and he informed me that in the whole of his year at school, there isn’t a single Nose.
