Emeritus means they no longer work with you (e.g. they are retired) but continue to have a relationship with the organization. So deceased official/s/persons are no longer emeritus/emerita
Couldn’t help but notice that in tonight’s programme the late Sir Doug Ellis is still listed as President Emiritus. Is this just a publishers oversight or is it a title that remains beyond this mortal coil?
Tried to find something on internet machine to confirm what exactly Emiritus means.http://www.formsofaddress.info/Emeritus.htmlQuoteEmeritus means they no longer work with you (e.g. they are retired) but continue to have a relationship with the organization. I wonder if he got to the Preeeemiership or was relegated to the other place.
