We've won four and drawn one of our last five Saturday lunchtime kick-offs at home. The wins including beating Man City and Newcastle and putting six past Brighton.

Our only home league defeat in the last year and both our heaviest and most embarrassing home defeats under Emery were all in Sunday games.

I mean we won most of our home games full stop the last season or two.

True, it's a pretty small sample.

Sundays are still shite though. 🙂

I wonder if they'll decide to just scrap the Saturday 3pm full stop for prem teams. Would be a way around the broadcasting issue. When you look at the fixtures these days it's an increasingly smaller number of games at that time already...

We were the ninth most televised team in 23/24 with 18; fourth last season with 27. I think we’ll be right up there again this season as lots of our games will be on Sundays which are all broadcast live.

That’s just Premier League btw. Over 40 last season altogether.

Four of Aston Villa’s fixtures over the festive period have been moved for television coverage.

Unai Emery’s men will take on Chelsea, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace over Christmas and the New Year, with each game to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Villa will not play on Boxing Day for the first time since 2009 this year, instead travelling to West London to take on Chelsea on Saturday, December 27, with the game kicking off at the later time of 5.30pm.

Three days later, Emery’s side will travel back to the capital to face the Gunners 15 minutes later than originally scheduled, the game on Wednesday, December 30 getting underway at 8.15pm in their final outing of 2025.

Villa’s first match of the New Year will then take place at Villa Park on Saturday, January 3, kicking off at the earlier time of 12.30pm.

And their final game of the festive period will come away to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, January 7, getting underway half an hour earlier than originally scheduled at 7.30pm.

Another load announced today. Arsenal & Chelsea away, and Forest at home are on.

Edit: Drummond beat me to it with much better info.
