I'm not going to start letting facts get in the way of my outrage at this stage of life, thankyou very much.

Also, West Ham at home on Sunday 26 January, 4.30pm. I don't know why Sky has a fascination with showing this game, as it's almost invariably pretty dull.

The bit that pisses me off about the Arse game, is that I will have a rock-solid, cast iron, unarguable reason to force a Chinese takeaway for dinner, yet won't have a chance in getting home before the Chinese takeaway place stops making Chinese food for people to take away!

How much more cruel can a so-called sport get?

Twatting them 4-1 last season was pretty good

Boxing Day and New Years Day games should be as close to local derbies as they can feasibly be.   Simple as.

Leicester is on Sat 4th so that's pretty much the NYD schedule given they're not using the 1st for some reason.

Forest would be a great Boxing day fixture home or away. It's a shame they don't want to play local games on Boxing day anymore due to police resources as there's little issue between the two fanbases.

Newcastle actually played Forest at home last Boxing day so seems they just get paired up with Midlands teams over the xmas period.

At least we're playing Newcastle at 3pm. I'd say Brighton having to come up here for a Monday night is far worse scheduling given the endless London teams they could play over xmas. Or Southampton or Bournemouth along the coast.

Also not sure why we have to play Brentford at 8.15pm when Arsenal-Man. United is the main TV game that night? I bet it will be the coldest nights of the year that week.

Last two at VP shown by Sky have been 4-1s to each team!

It's the ones down there that are more low scoring grindfests.

Was wondering why on earth the Brighton home game was on the Monday but not shown for TV but just seen Brighton-Brentford has been randomly moved to the previous Friday so I assume there's a law now prem teams can't play within 48 hours anymore?

A shame as that was great fun the quick turnarounds you used to get between Boxing Day and the 28th. Can also remember one season where NYD was a Saturday and then they played the 3rd aswell.

In the 80s and 90s there was one season where the lower leagues played Boxing day AND the 27th.

Must always remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Mythical nonsense and consumerism bollocks……glad that I’m able to opt out of all of it these days.

As ever hugely frustrating to see a Sat 3pm moved to a weeknight.

It's all driven by TV and the need to give all clubs an equal break between games, and completely disregard the fans. Nothing new there I suppose but not everyone has time off over Christmas so a double pain for those of us who keep the country going while everyone else is stuffing their fat faces.
