I paid for it and because we won it feels like money well spent. I am also likely to pay for the match on Friday. Reading some comments here and elsewhere, am I a mug/immoral or both for doing this?

Why do you give a fuck what anyone else thinks of whether you paid or not? It’s your decision, what anyone else thinks is irrelevant.

And I’m of the view that I’d have been paying £30+ to watch it in person so £14.95 seems like a snip. As long as the clubs get a good proportion of that money I’ve also no issue with Sky/BT taking a broadcasters fee to get the thing out there. Others disagree and think it’s immoral, fair enough.

Fair point. I was just seeking validation I wasn't the only one!

Was on Reddit earlier and everyone to a man/woman was saying how outrageous the charge was and no one would pay it. Seemed like I was massively out of step. I even paid a tenner to watch us lose to Stoke as well!

If you think it's expensive to watch Villa, it's gonna cost you £19.95 to watch UFC load of absolute garbage.

Tbf that's pretty pricey to watch Uxbridge games.

I would have thought the Arsenal match will be on BT.

Arsenal on a Sunday night PPV.

Arseholes. We've now had to pay for 4 matches when other clubs have had none.

Disgraceful.

There may well be. However, there are many fans who don't want to break the law. Many more who don't know how to get a stream or how not to get stuck with millions of pop-ups and spam etc.

It's wrong.

This is what’s pissing me off the most. We are expected to keep paying up while others pay nothing yet the money is divided between all the premier league clubs.

Fucking angry about the whole setup.

It’s all gone quiet now after SKY and BT were saying this “wasn’t a good look” and even Mike Ashley said it was wrong. I reckon they’ll keep quiet and hope it will all blow over and people start paying up after the initial resistance.

I miss football massively, but I won’t pay a penny towards this. Even if it means I get a stream that froze for the first time when Ross Barkley hit his shot towards goal against Leicester! I didn’t find out until a minute later that we’d scored!

I've just noticed that the Southampton game is sky box office as well. I make that 4 in a row - Leicester, Leeds (BT), Southampton and Arsenal.

Gits.

Hesgoal can be temperamental but it’s free, unless you are of a moral higher ground of course.

I think we all know we’re talking about the PPV aspect specifically don’t we?
