Fulham moved forward 15 minutes to 1745, just to annoy people still going to work, I assume.

I reckon they will move the 8 o'clock to 7.45 too so that pubs showing matches will not be in danger of matches going beyond 10.

Villa v Liverpool at 7.15PM on Sunday 4th October. Live on Sky.

That's doesn't really give any Villa fans watching in the pub much time to celebrate beating the current champions.

I'll take another 5-1 win :)  and leave the celebrating to the Monday !

Fulham game moved forward accommodate the new pub hours.

This will be a common kick off time for a while.

Don’t work Mondays so over the moon.

I have to question any person wanting to go the pub right now let alone to watch football

If that's what people want to do, then that's up to them. I most likely will.

Again you're not considering Drummond's 5-a-side Mondays.

Quite.

Based on the current estimated incidence of covid out there, you'd need to be in a pub with 600 other people for you to be statistically likely to be there with a live case.

Like you said, each to their own. Besides, not every pub is jam packed. You're making it sound as if the World Cup is on. I'd stick to questioning people not willing to wear a mask rather than those wanting to watch a game of football in a pub.

They say most transmissions are in the home but few people live with 599 others.

Probably right. Would make much more sense just to get rid of the stupid curfew as it will just mean more people getting on public transport and more people going to their mate's house.

Welcome to statistics. It obviously doesn't mean every group of 600 people has 1 case, or that any group less than 600 has less than 1 case.

Too bloody right. I'm going to complain to my MP.

If we win every Monday match I want them all moving there.

Our 5-a-side is on a Tuesday so Monday games for Villa are fine by me.  Only northern monkeys play 5-a-side on a Monday...

All it takes is one serious injury for an 8pm game to finish after 10. I don't envy the bar staff who have to tell punters to leave with two minutes left of a vital game featuring the local team. The government don't care about such people, though. They want pubs to go bankrupt as they're a distraction to the Tory ideal of everyone working until they drop.

Traditionally the breweries have always been strong supporters of the Tories, who loved pubs as they prevented the proles from being educated.
