SKY have announced their live games for February and Villa v Leicester isn't one of them meaning this could be the first home league game on Saturday at 3pm this season*.

* unless BT get their hands on it.

No BT have chosen Everton v Arsenal on 4 Feb.

The stevange game is on Sunday 8th January at 4.30pm but  it's not the tellybox. What the fuck is that all about?

Sounds like a charity game organised by Messrs Gerrard and Postecoglou.

They just can't leave anything alone. If it's not on TV why can't it be on a Saturday? It's as if they are determined to make it as much of a pain as possible to those that actually go to the matches.

Which would be a nice pay day for them. That's the only good thing about it.

They'll lose out on a much bigger crowd had it been played on the Saturday, so not sure if they'll gain much.

Depends what price tickets are. If it's £10 for adults, then they'll most likely gain.

I very much doubt Stevenage would agree to that.

£15 for adults is more likely, but some clubs do agree to £10. If Stevenage insist on more than £15 I hope they have a shit season, greedy twats. And if we want to charge more than £15 then we're greedy wankers as well.

I think there is a minimum that the away team can't argue with, isn't there?

As far as I know the home side can charge anything up to normal league prices and there's fuck all the away side can do. Hence Man Utd last season being able to charge more if we wanted a bigger allocation. The home side can't reduce them too much without the away side agreeing.

I think that's sort of what I meant but I expressed it cackhandedly.

I don't think the crowd will be affected by much. They'll likely bring a few less but we'll still have around the same; most supporters probably think football's a Sunday sport anyway.
