I don't  buy into the nice guy charade.  He is every bit as big a chancer as Sherwood and just as bad a bus chucked under.  The nice guy and the outrage at the players is simply an act to play to his friends in the media and to, by whatever means it takes keep the money pouring into his bank account.

Very poor. There was just no...anything. Saying it was flat would be talking it up.

Even Burton were oddly, flat and woeful. Like a sub-pre season.

Agreed.
And, he played a squad that suggests he’s still pitching to bring another striker in.
In my view, he’s playing games with the investors.

I do wonder if bruce is working his notice.

That has more than a ring of truth about it.

The statement of intent talked about by the new owners should be to show Bruce the door before the weekend

I wouldn't call someone with four promotions under his belt a chancer. As for the money, I doubt he needs it.

I don't suppose for one minute that you would.  One day I shall post something that does not elicit a contradiction from you.

Sherwood was Machievelian in the way he stabbed AVB in the back to worm his way into the managers job, albeit he was cut loose.

I don't really see any similarities between him and Sherwood.

Ipswich
Brentford
Reading
Burton

No disrespect to any of them, but we've got a squad that cost millions and a manager earning a fucking fortune and couldn't beat one of them. Abysmal. That man is a waste of time and space. Get rid.
Yep. Any villa fan who can look at that list and doesn't come to the conclusion that it's time he left our once illustrious club must be fkn mental. Imo.

I'm disagreeing with a comment you made, I'm not contradicting you.

To be honest who cares it was very much a reserve team out there and we ain't winning this competition any time soon. Sorry for the fans who went obviously but everyone knew the team he'd put out - similar to Peterborough and look what happened after that game.
I've said previously on h&v that it looks for all the world like he's actually trying to get fired. Think about it. If they fire him he gets a big payout. If he walks he gets nowt.

I'm not concerned at going out of the cup as we need to concentrate on the league. I am concerned that we lost to Burton with a side that whilst not being our strongest eleven had eighteen players on the team sheet who all stand a decent chance of being on the team sheet again at the weekend. Eight or nine of the twelve players who played last night will play a lot of games for us this season.

If Bruce saying it was like a pre season performance but then we beat Burton 4-0 Kodjia, Adomah, De Laet, Gardner scored then a month later we lose?!!
