I thought he was pretty ordinary except for the goal.
But what a goal.

He is a proper MoTD player - lots of other clubs will see the goals he scores, but not be aware of his anonymous performances. As a squad player, starting League Cup games then he is fine. We can't have him starting league games next season.

Definitely a confidence player. He had that run of scoring around Christmas and was left out of the team. It takes a real run of games for him to get going again

tbf to him, he's won us games at WBA, Wolves, Leeds and Everton.

Just wish he could knock the shite games on the head.

His scoring record is great, it's just that usually his all round play isn't, as demonstrated by the fact he has no assists this season.

He often scores goals that count. He doesn’t just pick up a goal when we are 3-0 up and cruising.

He's 25 now and reaching his peak.

From this point he either kicks on, becomes a much better all round player and either helps us to the Champions League or gets a move to a club higher up the pecking order, or he's as good as he's going to get and we bring in someone better.

I'm hoping Dean and the staff, having seen him in training for the past few years, know which one it is.

Handy to have a player who can weigh in with a good number of goals.

I know its nowhere near a confirmed formula and all that but he's scored goals worth 7 points to us over the season.

Wolves
Chelsea
Leeds
Everton

His goal scoring record this season is miles better than a load of "top" players.

Yeah just been looking at Iwobi's stats, one league goal this season, one last season.

Everton signed him for 30m.

Textbook all fart and no s*** player.

His value will be in 10-15m range no problem given we signed Traore for about 16m and he had similar productivity for Lyon and his stats here are similar to AEG so just up to the club what we want to do with his future. Two years left on his deal and his value likely won't be as high next summer.

This. As far as end product goes he's worth persevering with, we'll need squad players that can make impact when called upon as we improve, and both him an Trez fit that bill.
