Partly because of its importance but mostly because it was good unselfish play I thoroughly enjoyed his role in Jacks goal today.

The numbers are starting to stack up for assists now and he'll bag a few more goals too.

I love his attitude and him as a person. Seems a really genuine down to earth lad.

Had some doubts at the start of the season, but recently he looks very good

Good tonight I thought. Seemed to be playing a lot more centrally, and in front of Wesley a lot of the time. He has a real eye for goal and takes his chances well.

Totally agree, shame he wasn't released earlier by Jack for the offside goal.

Was unable to get to the Newcastle game but interested to see that he is taking up more central positions.I think that he could be suited to being a central striker,he is a good finisher ,possesses a powerful shot , has good pace and can run at defenders as well as being reasonable in the air.Downside might be hold up play but playing the ball more in the channels would enable us to turn defences.

Agreed. If we can't get a decent striker in January, we should look at bringing in another pacy winger which will free El Ghazi up to play up front.

Very likely my poor memory, but wasn't it SJM who delayed the pass?

It was. There was a few having a pop at El Ghazi, but you can only hold your run so long. By the time McGinn played the pass, I bet there were people sat right at the front of the Holte that could see he was miles off.

Yes. Though infuriatingly inconsistent, he has shown real promise.

The more advanced plays the better he looks and I think he’s one of our only decent headers of the ball.

But he doesn't like heading it, does he?

Technically his shoulder, I think.
