I suspect Hourihane got away with any further punishment because he was booked for his part in the fracas, so it was deemed to have been dealt with by the ref.  Bamford was too, but the simulation was not dealt with by the ref hence the retrospective ban.   Hourihane was pretty aggressive during the whole thing and can perhaps consider himself lucky to only end up with a yellow.
Agreed.  It was full on red mist and he raised his hands which is usually a big no no.  I think he can count himself lucky.

Yeah that's pretty much where i'm with it too. You can't retrospectively increase the punishment for something the ref has already punished but perhaps Conor should have got a red at the time. I guess ref was never going to send two off.

Leeds fans have been very one eyed about it though. Pisses me off when Jack gets pelters for diving when pricks kick lumps out of him every week.

Just realised nothing about El Ghazi in this post!

If Bamford does appeal, would that mean he's eligible to play the next 2 games whilst the appeal is heard?

So we've been charged twice in a season with failing to control our players - guessing that will escalate the punishment a bit?

Ironically if we had controlled our players we wouldn’t have equalised straight away. But we wouldn’t have had a sending off

I wouldn't bother if I was him. He'd just make himself look even more of a twat than he already has.

Indeed he would, but if it means some input into the play-offs, then I wouldn't be surprised if he did...

If he does it will prove he has no more brain than your average Nose.

Appeals cost money. I’m not sure Leeds will want to throw good after bad chasing a lost cause.

Any appeal would be dealt with quite rapidly...I doubt he'd want to risk missing the second leg and potentially the playoff final instead of their last game of the season and first leg.

Bumping this one up. This lad has been quite brilliant for a couple of months now. Full backs hate that he is brimming with confidence and loves to attack constantly. Well done again today on a very good display. Hope his injury is minor and he’s fit for Tuesday.

Thought he was MOM for me today, constantly looking to take the fullback on, really positive.

I agree, I thought he was very good today, a left back who can cross and take on a man behind him would be great to see because he makes defenders commit themselves.

They didn’t like it up em did they. Rabbits in headlights against Anwar and this should be exploited. Shame we are not as dangerous on both sides of the pitch.
