I’d be very keen we sign him up fast before other interest starts to be driven up.

I was wrong, especially after Norwich. Hopefully we'll sign him at the end of the season - we have the option. No brainer!

I think it may turn permanent in Jan to free up a loan space?

When he took the two defenders to the touchline, then skimmed them both, was sublime.

Loved that, he totally left them for dead after just teasing them for a few seconds.

It's absurd that he's come to life in December.

All those games against weak opposition wasted, as the manager couldn't coach and inject confidence into him or give him direction.

From being ineffectual and trying to hard at Norwich, to looking far too good for this league in a month.

El Ghazi to start against the Clayheads. Bolasie is under threat from Adomah and Kodjia.

This is why it’s also important not to criticize players too quickly. Look at how many wrote him off at the start of the year. Also the criticism of Tammy has been surprising after one poor game. In fact it was mainly one terrible miss. These are young players who are going to make errors or have ups and downs as they develop. El Ghazi looks the real deal now. Under Bruce like many of our players they looked way less than that and disinterested. There’s lots more to come from all of them.

To be fair its more than one poor game.  He gives out so much effort so people look at him favourably and his goal tally is excellent, only that he is so poor in the  air for a  tall striker and he could have doubled his goal tally with a few very poor misses.  But in his  support he does get in the positions to actually hit or miss.  So I take the good with the bad

I suspect the reason it’s taken so long is two fold. Firstly it’s often difficult to come to another country and settle. If you couple that with the fact he was being managed by someone who didn’t understand what coaching is and couldn’t set up a team, it’s hardly a surprise it’s taken this long.

Also, that one terrible miss by Tammy happened because the ball in was delivered behind him.

We are really good out wide.

You can show this lad on the inside and he will do you, you can show him the outside and he will do you.  You can crowd him, and as last night showed he will do you.  If he maintains this level of improvement he is going to become some player.  He can look after himself too.  Has all the makings of something really special.

When you watch the replay his miss wasn't as bad as at first glance the ball was behind him and he snatched at it what i am more worried about is his lack of technique in heading the ball, it is a separate skill set and if he can get it right he will be almost the complete centre forward.

You obviously missed his two headed goals against Forest? Oh and he only scored FOUR goals that night?

Where has he been hiding these last few months? Keep up these performances and he’ll be our most important signing and player of the season. Hope he keeps it up and we make his deal permanent.
