There was a moment in the second half, where he gave the ball away a bit cheaply, but the way he battled to win it back instantly was very impressive indeed.  Showed a very solid, hard working side to his game, which I think all the flair players know they need to bring to the game as well as the skills.

Unlucky not to score as well, Tammy's telescopic leg taking a tap in away from him.

It does seem Bruce's mentality was to compete and just hope one of our quality players would pull a rabbit out of the bag. When it worked it looked good but there's no consistency in that as we have found to our cost.

Well it was. His approach entirely was to buy more experienced or better quality players relative to the what our opponents could do and then leave them to win games. So at times we looked lost, without a plan and mostly average and then Snoddy wins it at Sheffield Utd. You don’t have to coach or teach then.

You can fuck your fat arse off to Spain to play golf with your mates on international breaks instead of improving yourself knowing you’ve done the bare minimum. A point proven by accident by El Ghazi when he revealed Bruce was rarely there. Bruce dropped him for spilling the beans

Bruce was lazy and felt he earned the right to do as little as possible. The hunger that he had at Wigan or the Noses as a younger manager was gone. He took the path of least work as our manager hoping it would be enough to see the job through.

More likely the world just passed him by

Played well and shows why you shouldn't write a player off after a few games, especially when that player is being 'coached' by Bruce and his lot.

I was wrong, especially after Norwich. Hopefully we'll sign him at the end of the season - we have the option. No brainer!
