Agreed, he was great. Full of running and good decision making.  What an embarrassment of attacking riches we have.

The one bit of credit to give spuddy is he brought in some very good attacking players even if he didn't have a clue how to use them properly.

It’s just incredible the bloke who bought them had no intention of attacking. Absolutely bonkers how easily Smith is making this look!

Fantastic performance.

This can only be good for the team/squad as he looked an improvement on kodjia today.

Thought he was excellent tonight. The only downside was that it meant moving Bolasie over to the left where I don't think he's as effective.

We do appear to have pulled a top quality operator into recognition that we'd all forgot about.

A few weeks ago against Norwich I thought he was a complete bottle job.  Once again just look at what good, solid, intense coaching does.

Not just coaching. Providing someone with inspiration, having belief in them and encouraging them to express themselves helps a lot. He looks like he’s loving it out there.

What a player he looked last night. Quick feet, energy, gliding past players like a mini Ronaldo at times. I like him.

Yep he was great. Pause for a minute and imagine you’ve had the ball nicked off you by Tammy and you look up and El Ghazi, McGinn, jack and Bolasie are coming at you.

On the flip side I don’t like his pointy sideboards.

Amazing what players can do with a plan rather than go out, give 100% and we'll see what happens. He looked full of energy but what pleased me most was his willingness to track back and he won the ball back a number of times. Hitting usefulness at just the right time.

Smith said he took on a lot of tactical information which was self evident from his excellent performance.

It cuts both ways that though; that's our manager...giving out tactical knowledge. *hits floor*

It does seem Bruce's mentality was to compete and just hope one of our quality players would pull a rabbit out of the bag. When it worked it looked good but there's no consistency in that as we have found to our cost.

Outstanding last night.  I hope he can keep it up as he will be a major asset.
