He's thinking of Bacuna.

Looked promising on his full debut and has already chipped in with two cracking goals despite limited game time.

The talent is there, but his attitude in training and so forth is harder to quantify.

I can live with a mercurial winger, it's the nature of the beast.  A mercurial keeper is harder to work around.

Smith said he's been training hard

Shouldn't forget that forest left him one v one. Which Smith said he was surprised by

Boro won't be doing that

It's hard to imagine Boro being anymore compact though with their shape.

It will be more physical with Friend and Shotton at full back.

Amongst all the mayhem of Wednesday night, it was only the next day I realised what a sublime first touch he had for his goal. That ball is just killed before the final shot.

It was a superb goal, great control, very little backlift.  The finish reminded me of Ronaldo (no other comparisons between the players before people spit their tea out!)

That means Boro can’t do that with Grealish, Kodjia and Bolasie at the same time.

They'll double up their wingers against ours. Cash and lolley stayed high up the pitch

Well he came through the ranks at Ajax, and I know they're not the force they once were but I believe their coaching set-up still has a very good reputation. Lord only knows what he must have made of Bruce's training sessions.

No doubt he's got excellent technique but when I saw him play for Reading I noticed he didn't really challenge for headers in duels and also didn't want physical contact when challenging for the ball so get the feeling that's why we haven't seen him much so far.

You sure you didn’t dream that? Don’t think he’s ever played for Reading.

Versus Reading I meant, his debut.

Pulis been even more defensive than usual this season. Against Derby at home they had Ayala, Flint and Fry as their back 3, McNair and Friend as the defensive wing backs and then Besic, Adam Clayton and Howson as three deep sitting midfielders. Downing supported Assombalonga in attack

Seems to have even given up on playing out and out wingers as he did at Stoke.

I think Martin O'Neill was his Beatles. Since MON decided to jack it all off and form Wings with Roy 'Linda' Keane in Ireland, Pulis has gone all nihilist. Don't be surprised if he goes a bit Charles Manson in the League Cup.

El Ghazi looked better on Wednesday night than previous appearances - he put in one or two great crosses and scored a super goal. Maybe he'll come good; at least for this division.

I thought he had a great game today. Probably deserved man of the match more than Hourihane.
