Unfit and lacking motivation. Not a great combo....I hope he doesn’t appear in 2019 calendar because I don’t think he’ll be here come Feb unless he pulls his finger out.

I don’t know about motivation, he looked like he was trying to me.

Amazed at all the people who were going mad about him after the first couple of games.

I know he scored a couple and set up the goal v Reading but instantly to me gave the impression of a player who had plenty of flicks and tricks but wasn't overly interested in physical duels and gave me the impression he'd go missing when the going got tough, particularly away from home.

Think his game since have born that out, I imagine we can just send him back end of the season and it's not a loan to buy....I hope.

For 30 mins I thought he was breathtakingly bad

He actually did improve last ten minutes

But I don't expect to see him again for a while unless the injured really are mounting up

Still did more than Hogan though

Disappointed with El Ghazi. For a fairly big guy he's incredibly weak and easily brushed off the ball. Bruce was stupid to sign him and Bolasie on big wages. We'd be better off developing  Andre Green and saving a fortune on wages.

First game since 1st September after a goal and assist in a new league.

No minutes in 7 weeks and we have people writing him off when he's chucked in and will need time.

Typical dead head Villa all round.

Yeah agree. Poor performance but given the shit show we're emerging from to write him off is just stupid. That's like writing off Smith because of his subs last night.

AEG looked very frustrated to me last night, especially after his overhit deliveries. Which suggests a player who knows he is better than his current performances, which makes me optimistic.

He one that Elmo nearly got on the end of was a beauty. I didn't notice any frustration, but you could see what he wanted to do, he just lacked sharpness to execute it.

I guess the point is he looked like a better player than his performance, certainly not worth bundling in with the likes of Taylor who just aren't good enough.

He looked way off the pace of it to me, but maybe it looked different at the game itself.  The fact he hadn’t had a look in since he came here, plus a dire performance last night makes me nervous, not’ dead headed’.

I wouldn't expect to see him playing again any time soon.  Last night was shocking how poor he was.  If Bolasie is coming back into the squad I expect it'll be at El Ghazi's expense.
