Just watched some clips of him and he looks like a predominantly right footed wide forward who can play on both flanks.

Adaptable twice-capped Netherlands international El Ghazi can also play at left-back and in the centre of defence

Taken from the BBC website. So that's the CB problem solved then....

He can’t be worse than Jedinak.

True. Hopefully a bit more mobile though!

Can he actually ?
Can anyone inform me and rest of h and v if he can play as a left back.

I feel the info is wrong and he's essentially a winger and attack minded player.

My buddy from Eindhoven just text  me - doesn't like him as he is from Ajax :) but goes on to say he is a dangerous player
Hopefully an exciting player

Can you find out please if this guy is a left back operator or just a left winger

He's a Mendes client it seems.

Surely that BBC article should say centre forward and not defence.  There's nothing anywhere about him ever having played in defence, he's a goal scoring winger/forward.

He'll be a right back.  And like it.

and it’s no good asking Bruce what his position is because he definitely won’t know

Wonder if Albert will end up back at Boro on loan?

I thought that this morning, there will need to be a fall guy, but then he played a lot better last night.

I was wondering that, 2 or 3 will have to go out on loan, maybe Green and BB also.

I wouldn't want to help out a rival, and I feel Albert could still have an important role to play. The arrival of El Ghazi and Bolasie could, I suppose, allow us to loan out Green. Even then I would want a recall clause, just in case.

Transfer Market site says he is mainly a left winger with centre forward and right wing as his other positions. It also says he is right footed and 1.89m tall. Also gives Mendes' company GestiFute as his agent.

Green needs a loan move - to me he looks devoid of confidence of late.

Well that's a relief as if he's a right back he probably won't play there and at left back or further forward! Haha

Exactly ! In all seriousness sounds like he is a winger and hearing a bruce interview he says he can play either side ...!
