I thought Jack's lunge was purely out of frustration and I'm not surprised considering how often he was kicked. The ref was dreadful.

I think the ref blew up every time there was a contested challenge. And why did the game restart with a free kick to Wigan at one point after they kicked the ball into touch so an injured player could get attention!?

Massive result, didn't really deserve it but they all count. Played two, won two.
We fully deserved it.

No we didn't, Wigan had two easy chances in the second half from crosses that they should have scored from, while we watched!
No we mugged them, they are a decent side who play at a tempo and play football!

Chuffed with the three points and frankly don't care how we won, SB made 6 changes from the Hull game and still got the result.

I thought it might be a struggle when I saw the line-up. How many of last season’s goals were on the bench? 24? I know people have got a downer on Albert and CH but what’s the most important event in a football match? (A goal obvs).

Kodjia was awful, he has to sort out his attitude and get on with the game instead of moaning and sulking all the time!

We still look like a team that meet up for the first time just before the kick off, some bloody good players but as a cohesive team nowhere near it!

Good point, I mentioned it in the first half. More time throwing his arms around like a petulant five year old and sulking than actually trying to get involved and do some positive things. As I said earlier, he looks a shadow of what he once was.

I thought for a minute that was one of your mates who you had put a TV up for and he was proudly showing that it was still on the wall.

But seriously, what is there not to love about Paul McGrath.

Pleased with the result though as others have said we were very sloppy at times.

Nyland - 6 - looked a bit nervous and his kicking was off a bit but I’m putting that down to some nerves but to be honest he didn’t have a lot to do, needs to sweep behind his back 4 more aggressively
Tuanzebe - 6 - again looked a bit undercooked and will settle in time
Chester - 7 - captains performance no pissing about, good goal.
Jedinak - 5 - you could tell it was his first game back and he was sloppy esp for the first goal with a hospital pass to Nyland
Hutton - 7 - no messing about from the Scottish Cafu, influence diminished as the game progressed
El Moh - 6 - again looked a bit out of sorts taking wrong options but otherwise solid
McGinn - 7 - industrious, good dead balls and an assist v encouraging more dynamic than Hourihane
Barney - 7 - did a good job but his passing was occasionally sloppy, scored at the end for an extra point
Green - 6 - faded out of the game as it progressed, he’s got to be more proactive in his involvement rather than just marking his full back out of the game
Grealish -7.5 MOTM - our creative outlet, he makes it happen and just about shaded his battle with their no5, his teammates need to give him better options as hes attractive too many fouls currently.
Kodjia - 6 - desperate for a goal, after a very ineffectual first half his play upped drastically in the second half and I think he’s starting to get it back, have patience people it will come.

Subs - no great impacts but all helped keep us moving forwards

Bruce - 7 - hmmm, not the best performance with flashes of good play but he gets a pass on this one as That’s pretty much Wigan’s team from last season and they’re well drilled with good patterns etc etc. Subs were good and kept some impetus in our play. All in all if he can get Kodjia scoring and better delivery from our wide midfielders we can get a lot better. Agree with others though stop playin defenders out of position.

Two massive come back wins in a row. Lots to improve but 6 from 6 is a superb start.

Yep 2 wins from losing positions. Rare as hens’ teeth last season.

Yes this is very positive. I feel as though I don’t have to panic if we go a goal down.

I thought we looked better when we went to 4 at the back, would like to seee Tuanzebe alongside Chester.

RHM played well.

Oh and Clyde are top of the League; Mon e Bully!!
