ah but their sell will be "you will be playing at Wembley every other week"

If you believe that then you believe in Unicorns, Brexshit and that Blues and Albion are bigger clubs than Us.

Looks like we dodged a player similar to a lot of the others we've signed in the past but I thought he was supposed to be intelligent.

The only really negative bit about this is that we’re left with the godawful Neil Taylor and not much time left to replace him.

Loan window is open until the end of the month.

Some proper holier than thou stuff here.  He's been offered a better opportunity before committing to us, how many of you wouldn't do the same if offered a better job before signing up for another one you've been offered?  Being outmuscled by the likes of Fulham is our new reality (see also Bournemouth's record signing now higher value than ours).  No need to get all prima donna about it.

Its not holier than thou, it's poor form on his part.

We've not been outmuscled by Fulham, we've been done for by the lure of the Premier League.

Why not?  He's dropped us in it with less than 24 hours to find a replacement.  He's hardly likely to be flavour of the month here is he?

Thing is, if he had been honourable, put aside his dreams of PL football and a Bruceless dressing room, and signed for us, we would have been stuck with a player who would be secretly thinking he'd made a mistake. Not a good scenario when paying 6m for player. Probably best all round that he jumped ship, though why Fulham left it so late to come in for him is anyone's guess

We have been outmuscled by Fulham and that extra muscle is precisely because they're in the Premier League.  It's up to us to have a plan B or loan options, it's really not his responsibility, he owes us nothing and I don;t see why people think he does.  It's really quite lame.

Nah. He wants to play in the Premier League. Fair enough. It clearly doesn't matter for who.

We've clearly gone to some time and trouble and effort. Then he's upped and done one. It's piss poor form.

So just him and every other footballer then.

Well obviously Ads. We'll most likely be outmuscled by anyone in the PL, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, whoever unless we offer stupid wages again.  Big as we may be, at the end of the day we don't have the pulling power of the PL.   He's just looking out for himself and his family, as anyone would.

Never trust anyone with two first names.

Bit harsh on our European Cup winning captain. ;)
lol...I meant having a first name as surname.

He may want to play in the premiership but for how long? they are one of my favourites for relegation. Short term thinking from him as we will always be a big club with a future whereas Fulham will always be a minnow.
