I dont blame him, if Fulham pay him more and if he'll get games in the PL then i'd be doing exactly the same thing. 

Agreed, given the choice of more money and Premier League football, I don't understand why he would join Villa.

I doubt that club history and medium/long-term prospects are a consideration when players have the option to choose a new employer
