And I meant to put this in the transfers/rumours section but  I am presently a little over refreshed and have no idea how to move it.

Jacob Tanswell of the Athletic gave an update on SJM's knee problem. Apparently, he's had scans done on the knee injury. The results are expected back tomorrow (Thursday). At the moment there is some optimism that it's not a big injury, but it isn't certain until the results are revealed.

🚨 McGinn underwent a scan afterwards, but the club are understood to be optimistic about his condition following further tests.

🚨 NEW: Aston Villa are confident John McGinn has avoided a serious knee injury, though the club will continue to monitor his condition.

Hmmmm.
No ‘serious injury’ doesn’t mean no injury.

The Athletic reporting that he is expected to be fit in time for the Premier League;

They're not sure if he will make the Super Cup final, though.

But one might be a week or two and the other could be 6-12 months. So I would prefer the news to be no serious injury. The way he jarred his legs,  I would have been surprised if there was no injury at all.

It only required you to have eyes to know that there was some sort of injury.

Jacob Tanswell (who is a trustworthy source) has said SJM is expected to be fit for the Brighton game and might even be fit for PSG!

I wouldn't risk the PSG match if there's any doubt.
