I hope he doesn't suffer from hayfever.

Steve Martin in Roxanne comes to mind.

I've just watched the press conference, and the only thing Emery did when talking about McGinn was to rub the side of his head with his fingers. Which is something he does almost the entire time he's speaking in English, so if he was lying about his true feelings about McGinn, then he's lied about every single thing he's ever said since he came through the door. I don't think Emery's a liar, personally.

Footy, in the hope that it helps you, most things that body language 'experts' claim are signs of lying are actually related to stress.

In a situation where people are looking to catch you in a lie then lying or omitting the truth is stressful and hence this belief is created but it's a misleading correlation at best.

There are many other situations where you can feel under stress whilst talking and the same behaviours show up there.

For example: talking in a foreign language, discussing a topic that you're uncomfortable about, remembering something tangentially related that you need to do, being distracted by something completely unrelated, either as a memory or in your eyeline, etc. All of them, and many more, result in the same nose touch, fingers around your mouth, rubbing ears, etc behaviours and happen at least as often as lying (and probably far more so).

Utter, utter horseshit

Is that your professional analysis of what Footy is trained in?

Another classic is 'woman fiddling with her hair is into you'. Sometimes, maybe! But hardly always.

As espoused by former Brummie, Mike Skinner, in his "imperial phase".

"I saw this thing on ITV the other week
It said, that if she plays with her hair she's probably keen
She's playing with her hair regularly
So I reckon I could well be in"

Brilliant album, think I’ll listen to that tonight. Thanks Eamonn.

Love the concept of the album as a whole, it’s like listening to a film.

Simone, what a bitch.

How so. Rubbing nose is a gesture that indicates deception.

FV, it's worth learning all of these 'x means y' body language ideas are baseless pseudoscience.
Well, I always listen and usually do what other posters request or say when all are considered. And you're one of sound reason, Monty.
I personally believed it to be rather accurate. However, wjen others cast some things in a different light despite some of my training in observation, I'm willing to close the case on this one as after all Unai Emery and the players of Aston Villa, don't need to have further investigation or scrutiny.

Apologies. Back to the subject of football.

Up The Villa!

Earlier this week is was equine stuff he’s a good alrounder is footy v. Very entertaining.

I did. But to be fair, my mate who recommended watching it told me there was a twist so I was on alert.

Ssshhh! You know... is he any good? As an actor? I feel like I've barely seen him in anything. Maybe I just look in the wrong places. I vaguely recall him as the devil in the something.
