I'd rather have a place you could get cheese.

An onsite abattoir to create the freshest pies, and a glass lounge where those that can afford it can watch the process first hand.

The gas holders site seems like a decent idea. Loads of space there, and not that densely populated by businesses. I did a screenshot of Google maps, and there seems to be three big warehouse type places next to the actual holders. The squate I've drawn on it is 20 acres, which is bigger than the current site by 3 acres.

If they wanted more than that if they bought the area with the playing field to the right, that extends the footprint considerably. I guess the transport links aren't much better, but you have got Duddeston train station about the same distance away as Aston is now I guess. Overall, it looks slightly less hemmed in than Villa Park is, where I think the main issue is the narrowness of the smaller streets of the main routes. What be the main problems with this as an area?

I might have said the camber of the area as walking or cycling up the locks that stretch (phew), however a quick google steet view shows the Victorians embanked a large flat area around there already.

I suspect there the land might have a lot of industrial contamination to clean up though (more then most with the gas towers?)

The area myself and drummond was mentioning is on the link. I was thinking all the estate from A34 to to the Expressway and Phillips street to the middle way. Internal roads wouldn't be needed then either so the place, whilst not square, could have items around it. And they might even be able to do something with the Bartons as well then.

I also think we should get a load of those video cases that look like hardback book covers. Make the place look classy.

Oh man, we had them. And the telly in the kind of cabinet you'd expect an Edwardian magician to use on stage.

Ha! We had a TV cabinet. I'm pretty sure it had glass doors. Bizarre thing, bizarre thinking. Still, preferable to those sixty-inch things everyone has on their walls nowadays though.

I had my eye on the Wndsor St / Lord's end.  Bit closer to town, and I imagine Bill, George & Louis Windsor might like it too.
