On a serious point, I do not understand FFP and why we have to abide by it. Surely the ESL clubs have shat all over it? If not, why are some of them £1bn in debt?

If not, why are some of them £1bn in debt?I think that it’s all based on the annual profit and loss and not on balance sheet (which is an accumulation of x years profit and loss)Therefore as long as the 3 years p&l are within the limits, the outstanding debt, no matter how large, is irrelevant for ffp purposes
