I sometimes wonder whether RDM ever had his Ancestry.co.uk research done.

There's got to be something extraterrestrial in there, somewhere along the line.

My girlfriend at the time said she thought he was handsome, so those aliens must be doing something right.

- Did Tony Xia really go to prison?

Yes, former Aston Villa owner Tony Xia was detained and formally arrested in China.
After an initial arrest warrant was issued for him in China in 2019, his family reported that he was detained in July 2020

He spent six months in a network of Chinese detention centers starting in July 2020 before being formally arrested in January 2021 over suspected financial crimes and unpaid debts tied to a Chinese manufacturing company.

His time in police custody was tied to the following details: The Charges: Xia was suspected of "harming the interests" of Yuancheng Cable Co. Ltd., a Shenzhen-listed company he previously controlled, over an economic dispute involving unpaid debts amounting to roughly $30 million.

Would you like to know more about what happened during his tenure at Aston Villa or the subsequent investigations into his financial dealings?

- No.

- OK, good night.

What an absolute bunch of jokers, chancers, and downright twats had hold of our club.  >:(

Emery deservedly gets a lot of credit for our current position, but people outside the club don't realise the work that had gone in to create the foundations and put us in a position where Emery would even take the call. *

We've been on an upward trajectory since July 2018, with only minor set-backs, and it's about fucking time!

* credit also has to go to me moving from my obviously cursed seat in K5 and shifting my arse to my lucky one in K4, unleashing the good karma and fortune that we all enjoy today.  8)

Wyness still regularly pops up on a YouTube channel where he offers his inside knowledge and insights into the world of football finances and transfer rumours and deals.

Why anyone would take any notice of anything this human blancmange has to say is beyond me.

also honorary mentions to my lot playing the Lucky songs (an eclectic mix of good and shit) not walking over the three drains as you walk under the train bridge and walking through the church graveyard before every game

It is without doubt in my mind that all this has helped the cause.

For instance, during our crap start to the season, we switched to walking further down Lichfield St and then Waterworks St rather than all the way along Aston Hall Road. Immediately our form picked up.

We go through the graveyard on the way back, but not on the way there.

Wasn't he one of the first to call out Tony Xia and ended up being sued/suing the club?  I think your point is still valid, but I have a vague recollection of him and Xia being in a dispute before the depths of our problems was known

Eventually.
