It’s no Ford Granada, Jon...it’s the Villa Engine.

I’d take admin now if it meant we get rid of this utter fraud
This 100% get it all out in the open : Xia , Round, Wyness and Bruce all gone and everyone aware of what went on.
Rebuild the great club that is Aston Villa  FC. Prepared.

Harry McGuire didn't do too badly when he was younger and plucked from Sheffield United by some dinosaur.

How many more can you name?  Great player, now.  Bruce didn't develop him though did he?

I would hope he will sell to someone that can at the minimum safeguard us getting totally shafted on the fees for players. 8 million for the best centre half in the championship by a street while Albion are getting 20 million for Dawson is utter madness.

This is like saying; we need to get relegated to clear all the shit out.  Look what happens.  It's a ridiculous notion to go into administration.  12 points worse off and the admin guy will sell anything at all to pay off creditors.  Yes, that may also mean the club changes hands, but we are way over our heads in debt to keep some of these players as FFP has well and truly bitten.  We will be worse off in administration.

By a player plucked from Dundee by Bruce whose last competitive game was in the European Cup final against Real Madrid?

And that's Steve Bruce's doing?  Er, no.  Bruce may have purchased him but Liverpool nurtured the talent.  Yeah, give Bruce some credit for listening to one of his scouts, Robertson did really well in the Championship for Hull, fair play, but you are stretching it beyond all imagination by suggesting that Bruce is responsible for Robertson playing in the Champs League Final.

Equally, we are talking about Villa, not the teams that Bruce used ti manage, you know, those will far less resources and who really had to pick up youngsters.  He tried to buy promotion and fucked it up.  I hope he proves me wrong and starts having more faith in the kids.  I doubt it though.

Here's the full list (although there's loads of villa signings missing), I'd say significantly more bad than good - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/steve-bruce/spielertransfers/trainer/447/plus/1?station_id=

Robertson and McGuire are proven to have been his best 2 in recent years though.

Not  necessarily , we need to clear our club from top to bottom. No new investment will be forthcoming to own a minority stake whilst we have a clown in the chair.

Robertson and Maguire may have been spotted and bought by Bruce and he did well with them in their early days, but Bruce cannot possibly take any credit for their successes more recently, surely?

Some of those signings are dreadful.  He really is hit and miss, not too many young players on that list either. Can this leopard change his spots?

The club will be emptied full stop.  And afterwards, due to ffp, there will be no money to buy players, fans will have walked away, no real income, lack of sponsors etc.  This can only happen during a transfer window of course, but, administration will be catastrophic, we will lose every single player of value for practically nothing, leaving behind a bunch of kids facing relegation.  Only McCormack and Richards will be left!!  That's sobering enough.  It will be a long way back, probably from the third tier of football.  Do we, as fans, really deserve that?

I don't think that's fair.  Bruce has signed a few very good players when they were unknowns and given them their first big break, he's also given debuts to some players who've gone on to have very good careers but he's been a manager for 20 years, it would be ridiculous to think he wouldn't have some successes in that time.  The issue for me is that they're surrounded by some awful signings, lets not forget this is a guy who paid £6 for Lee Cattermole and £8m for Connor Wickham, even at current prices they seem absurd, 10 years ago that was pretty much the entire summer budget for Sunderland.

i couldn't care less who he's bought in the past and if he did or not develop them

i'm more concerned with the 23.9 million (+ the Taylor the free gift) he has spent on a lot of players on big wages and wonder whether they will earn there corn next season in getting out of this league
