We were at Jack Grealish's uncle's place, Black Lion in Kilburn for the semi and final. Big old place plenty of room out on the pavement.

Did Ciaran Clark’s uncle sell it to Grealish’s uncle since we last went in then?

I have no idea why I thought it belonged to anyone in the Grealish family.

My 2 sons and I are staying in a hotel in Golders Green as the last train back to Manchester is at 9 pm and we couldn't guarantee getting it if the game goes to extra time and penalties. Don't want to drink around Wembley pre-match with the inevitable large crowds and probably crap beer served in plastic containers. Anyone got ideas of any decent pubs in the Golders Green area ? If not, will probably go to Southwark and get the Jubilee Line to Wembley Park.

The Refrectory is next to the station and there's a small pub a few minutes down the Finchley Road called the Gate Lodge

Golders Green is probably the worst location in London for pubs (sorry!), but it's a good suburb otherwise, with plenty of places to eat on Golders Green Road. If you hop on the Northern Line (southbound) for two stops from Golders Green to Belsize Park then there's a good pub, The George, if you turn right out of station and walk for 4/5 minutes, also serves good food. If you go a further 2 stops to Camden Town then there's The World's End right by the station which is decent. If you walk north-west along Camden High Street then The Ice Wharf at Camden Lock is good.

I asked a young person at work to find me some train times as each time is used train line or Chiltern direct was getting lots of differing rising prices.

They told me to use a site called Trainsplit as it find best deals

Now have direct train - no reserve seating

Moor st - 09.15 - arrive Marylebone  11.11

Rtn

Marylebone 22.10 - 00.04

£31.50

Not bad at all

I'm on your train back. Apologies in advance for my drunkenness.

I expect you to find me, ruffle my hair and say I am your best mate :)
I am on that train back as well so I will keep an eye out for any unlike Villa fan behaviour.

As I managed to get a ticket for my lad I’m now planning on driving to Stanmore and parking up. Prob won’t be there until 2pm though so fingers crossed there’s some spots left.

Thanks BC54 VFC, I'll judge the Golders Green pubs, then move to your selections if necessary.

I'm stopping near Swiss Cottage and have to arrange to meet others. Any good pub suggestions around there? Cheers

There's a decent pub at St Johns Wood (one station down and on the Wembley line) The Duke of York come out of station left and left again by the waitrose.

For Liverpool and Arsenal matches we started drinking in Baker st, huge Wetherspoons  called The Metropolitan bar - quite a few then as well.

One stop on Bakerloo line from Marleybone to pub then same Bakerloo line direct into Wembley - sorted

You might see one or two familiar faces in the Swiss Cottage.
