How many away games have you been to this season Dave? We all have circumstances that facilitate how easy it is to get to the games.

Still need a ref! Surely should be general sale now

Anthony Taylor
Good if we have bought the Ref.

I'm sure we do. And I'm sure it will be easy to get to Wembley.

......what about those who have been but didn't get them on their own reference because their tickets were always bought on a family or friends group by someone else.
What about those who live a long way away, are elderly, disabled, or otherwise struggle to get to games but would like to get to a big occasion?
They don't deserve tickets more than those who have been - but lets face it we are well into the realms of borrowed references at this stage either way!

I'd rather I'd made it louder to reach the heights of the high horse one sits aboard.

That was really funny. Almost as funny as the
one you made before.

As I was getting a bit obsessed, I emailed the Villa and got this response:

"Unfortunately, as tickets sold out during the 17/18 home league booking history window, they will not go on general sale."

I don't know if that will mean a few unsold tickets, as I doubt many are looking now that it is 'sold out' and sale of returned tickets has not been announced, but hey ho.

Good luck to those who can get tickets, fingers crossed you have a better day than my last trip to Wembley!

We've had enough Wembley trips, FAC QF and derby games where everyone should know by now to use individual reference numbers. The system has been in place for yonks so shouldn't really still be catching people out.

It shouldn't, but despite giving both mine and my son's reference numbers when booking over the phone I only noticed last week that most tickets booked are allocated to my reference number only.

Always check the ID on tickets, and if they aren't right give the club a call. A pain to have to do but always better to be on the safe side just in case booking history is ever needed. After a game it's more hit and miss if they'll allocate them to a different ID, before the game has been played they usually do.

The initial set up is fiddly. Once people are linked its pretty easy.

You can just buy some extra tickets online or in 5 mins on the phone on your own reference, but you can mess about for ages giving individual addresses to set up booking histories.

I don't even know the addresses of some of the people I have bought for, I just clicked in and got them tickets when the ST window opened so I could get seats as close to me as possible. I didn't have the time in the working day to be ringing VP and setting up their accounts then linking them to mine. Until the moment you need it, its a bit of a pfaff. I honestly didn't think just one game would be the difference between getting a ticket or not - so setting up refs for people like my mum, neighbour, friends who only went to one seemed OTT. sometimes you take someone to a few games before you say 'We should set up a proper reference for you'.

I think a hard and fast 'You should know by now' is harsh because real life has shades of grey.

I didn't miss out, but I can understand how people do.
