If we become a phoenix club: let's have the rampant lion rising out of the flames...in a round badge! :)

Save money, play in "skins" and possibly a rush back goalkeeper.

If that is the new kit it looks nice. Colours look good too. The only thing that spoils it for me is the badge. We need to rid ourselves of that God awful Lerner/Xia era badge asap.

In the grand scheme of things the badge is trivial. However all I now associate it with is disappointment and failure. For me too, the quicker we get rid of it the better.

I agree with you. It is trivial, it's just that every time I see it, it reminds me of Lerner and now Xia. Get rid.

Whilst i'd love a return to the old badge, the cost of doing the whole rebrand would be a complete waste of money right now.

Also, whilst i have a great affinity with that old round crest and 'proper' claret and blue, hardly anyone under the age of thirty could give two fucks.

Same with when i start moaning about non 3pm Saturday kick offs. Ask anyone under 30 and they don't know what the heck your moaning about.

I think we need to accept we're old farts and let things be on that score.

Thought I could maybe cheer myself up with a glance at the new kit. Is that it?! All the pomp and circumstance and it looks, well, the same as before but with some weird pattern and a half rate 'fashion' label sewn on. I'm utterly underwhelmed.

The ones in this thread are fan mock ups.

With that said, I'm not quite sure what you are expecting, but if you are utterly underwhelmed by a claret body and blue arms then I suspect you will be disappointed when it is released.

It's an internet mock-up with no suggestion that it's based on the real thing.  That said if it was real it would be the best kit we've had for years so I'm not sure what there is to complain about.

OK cool, yes I was expecting claret body and blue sleeves funnily enough but it's still pretty uninspiring - given the fanfare that came with this. And, personally, I don't like the tacky link-up with Luke 1977. But that's just my opinion. I'm not complaining as such, I just suspected it wouldn't be all that, and it isn't (in my opinion).

Why's the link up tacky? I've honestly not seen anyone else make that suggestion.  More accurately what makes it tackier than taking a template from some like Nike or Adidas and wearing what is effectively a colour swap of a champions league team?

Sorry didn't mean to sound like the archetypal Villa moaner, Paul, it's just that this subject is fairly close to my heart. I am just saying from a personal view. I don't like their logo. I don't like the brand. I wouldn't buy the clothing. I get what you're saying - agree with the sentiment of not using Nike or any of the massive manufacturers because they didn't have the time for a little club like us - and we ended up with a template kit but I am just not that excited about this. It just feels a bit small time. It is a damn shame we didn't have something similar going on with Harry Parkes, when we had the chance - now that would have oozed class.

Plus I'd have this on it, but now is not the time.

I would have preferred us to partner with Off-White or Bathing Ape.

(I have no idea either it’s what the kids want) proppa urban

I was thinking Bewise, C&A or Foster's Menswear. Are Mark One still going?
