Seven matches completed, seven wins for the seeds. Boring. ☹️

True. But that Stan Moody seems even more of a cocky little shit than Judd Trump was/is, so I'm glad he's out. Talented, mind.

Judd Trump v Gary Wilson has turned into a hard watch. Time to switch over to Murphy v Fan.

Shame Murphy won, the lack of seeds going out first round would have been offset a little had smug Murphy joined that plank Carter in going out

I know he's not popular on here, but I don't mind Murphy.. His cue action is a joy to watch when he's in full flow.

It's Ronnie v Higgins next, now that's not a bad 2nd rounder.

I like watching Hossein Vafaei, so I'm glad he went through. I'll like him even more if he knocks out Judd Trump. Headline writers will be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect.

I was in Sheffield city centre earlier today - there is a fanzone outside the Crucible where you can watch games on a big screen while sitting in a deckchair.

You had them in Birmingham City Centre for Wimbledon last year.

They had the big screen outside the Crucible when I last went in 2007*, although you had to bring your own chairs back then. Glad it's still going.

Might've changed now, but it was great how lax the security was - we encountered so many people.

My mate stood on the feet of Ray Stubbs, called John Parrott a twat, and we were both removed from a BBC recording for standing in shot and shouting 'Ste-eve Davis, what a wanker, what a wanker'** after we gave him the thumbs up earlier in the day and he clearly saw but blanked us.

*That was a great day. Saw the morning session, spent the afternoon in the pub watching us beat Sheff Utd 3-0, then went back in for the evening session.

**That was after the afternoon in the pub.
