From the Crucible.  Anyone interested?  Mr Jester from Leicester is in a bit of trouble in his opening match.  Is Ronnie playing this year?

I'll probably dip in and out every now and then. Will watch most of the Final.

Reigning champion out.  Beaten 10-4 by Joe Perry.

Big shock about Selby although he did start slowly in the China open but got away with it. Didn't yesterday though. Makes things interesting in the top half of the draw.

I've got a spare ticket for the morning session tomorrow as my daughter can't make it because of work. Any takers? Only asking face value £22.

O’Sullivan in a spot of bother against Maguire too. Makes for an interesting competition should the two favourites go out straight away.

He’s through but he had some right luck with the balls this morning.

Although his voice sounds just like Steve Davis', I really like Peter Ebdon commentating. Shame they've paired him with John "Where's the cue ball going?!" Virgo.

Mark Williams snooker escape/fluke shot to pot a green was quite impressive.

My favourite event of the year, I always try to watch as much as possible, albeit pesky work makes that difficult (though not impossible). I'm attending my first ever match this week. It's only MacGill v Day but I'm sure I'll still enjoy it.

Hoping we get a new champion, preferably Ding or Lisowski as I have money on them (plus I quite like both players anyway).

Please not the cheat Higgins.

Ding has been the most impressive of the big names so far.

The best thing about Peter Ebdon commentating is that it means Peter Ebdon isn't playing.

I went on Monday for the first time after watching it on the telly for 40 odd years. It was incredible, I know it's a cliche, but I can't describe the atmosphere as anything other than electric. I'll be applying for tickets for next year when they go on sale on 7th May. One thing I found was that they usually have a few tickets for each session that have been returned so if you wanted to watch another session on the day you go, you may be able to. I'm sure you'll have a great day.

Despite living in Sheffield for over 15 years I've still not been...

Had a look yesterday and the cheapest session ticket was £55!!
