In fairness that’s a magnificent clenched fist from the future King.

Colin Wanker really is a wanker isn't he.

Generally yes, but not tonight. He gave credit to our goalkeeper for his saves, gave credit to Grealish for scoring "a worldy" and actually said he had "no complaints". By his standards that is a major charm offensive.

William, Grealish, Jedinak, Kodjia. I salute you all. Great result, bit of a stodgy performance but I think we shaded it. Had the referee played on when Kodjia was being wrestled on the halfway line, I'm sure we'd have put the game to bed.  Oh, and Colin, the game is not won on chances, it's won on goals scored. Well done Bruce for positive changes made.

Maybe not in the post match interview, but his antics on the sideline throughout the game were in that bracket.  One of the dirtiest and most cynical sides I have seen, especially the number of fouls they committed off the ball (pulling back and blocking players trying to get up in support of play in particular).  I thought we stood up well to it though and thought Jedinak did well at the back tonight.  Still patchy for large parts of the game and I think Adomah, Snodgrass and Hourihane could do with a break from the side.  Grealish's goal was special and a fitting way to win a match.

As long as we could negotiate the away leg OK, I wouldn't have too many qualms about facing them in the play offs to be honest.

On that showing, if Cardiff slip up, you'd have to fancy our chances against them in the playoff final compared with Fulham who I think are the second best side in the Division. Johnny Kodge is looking sharper every game and a Wembley final is just made for him to score the winner. But knowing us we will probably balls it up against a poor Leeds on Friday and be back to square one.

Humble pie for supper for me. When I saw that line-up with Jedi at the back and Whelan in midfield I thought we'd get turned over well and proper. Glad to be wrong. Even now I'm not sure what our formation was - some sort of three at the back, one up front, and six at various places in the middle, but whatever it was Bruce will probably use it again on Friday. Some great saves by Johnstone to keep us in it, and a worldy by Jack to get the points, which we fully deserved on that second half performance. Even the unannounced closure of the M5 slip road with no diversions signed, meaning a mystery tour via Wednesbury and West Brom couldn't spoil the evening.  Wasn't that impressed with Cardiff - typical Colin team with time wasting, feigned injuries, endless cynical fouls, long throw-ins, the manager constantly in the 4th official's ear, and doubtless sour grapes afterwards.

And Milwall are in worryingly good form ....
But, hey, on our day we can beat anyone in this division

Watching that ( and them against Wolves ) it hard to see how Cardiff got to 2nd.

Better from us in general , great saves when they did put the pressure on and a worldy from Jack

AA needs to be dropped , has been great for us this season but he has tailed off badly of late and some time out to refresh for the play offs looks needed.Looked better when Kodjia came on as he can run into the channels for balls into space  and has pace and skill to keep it until others get near.Neither Grabben or especially Hogan can do this.

Was Terry injured or rested ?

The only honest thing he said in the interview was at the end "we kick on". Well that seemed to be the enitre game plan tonight. How did that bunch of time wasting, snidey tossers get to 2nd.

Ref should have made a stand and sent one of them off after the 3rd yellow - i lost count in the end but im sure they all got a yellow apart from their keeper (unbelieveably).

On a positive we note we looked miles better when Kodj came on - AA has needed a rest for a few weeks now and if we can go back to a proper back 4 on Friday (hows Hutton getting on?) then i think we're due a good run in.

Dont think we'll get automatic but you never know.....

Great match up with Kodja and Bamba in second half. He looks a good defender and unlike most of there team wasn’t trying to feign injury and waste time.

At HT I thought we were lucky to be in it after the two Whelan efforts. Bamba was dominating  Grabbon and we were chasing around pointlessly. The big difference was Kodjia coming on. He had class to disrupt Bamba and their defence fell apart. It was just a matter of time before we would score and score we did how sweet was that? Sitting in North centre I felt it was going in as soon as Jack hit it. A bit like Savo at Wembley. We should have scored 2 or 3 more but wasted  very good opportunities.
Shame it's all a bit too late.

What match was he watching? Only one team in it in the second half.
