Look at the stats in the Cardiff game. 40% possession at home against Barnsley. I know the league doesn’t lie and all that but they really aren’t a good team.

We're hardly possesion kings ourselves, 43% tonight according to the site I'm looking at.

Not saying we are and struck me as I typed it that they are Bruce style stats and he would get a panning for them.

Possession stats in the offensive half is the one that matters, possession in your own half doesn't mean much. Shots on target are a better indicator IMO

Grealish has turned into such a silky player, makes it look effortless.

I think Sunderland would make Micah and Gabby look silky to be fair.

March 14, 3 years ago, Mackems 0 Villa 4 (Benteke 2, Gabby 2) to stave off relegation. That was also a nice day.

Grealish really is something special, isn't he? A lot have passes have been too short tonight.

Jack has made all the difference here, they can’t cope with him

Great to have him back. Should be ready to start v Wolves. With him and Adomah back fit we have a decent chance of three points.

Apparently, if Sunderland lose tonight it’ll mean they’ve won just 5 of their last 37 home games stretching back to August 2016. In that time they’ve accumulated just 26 points from a possible 111 available at the Stadium of Shite.

Fixed it for ya, Pete. ;)

I obviously don't want to hex them, but having Albert & Jack back is one helluva boost to our run-in.

Grealish has turned into such a silky player, makes it look effortless.

He always had this in him, it's why I found the criticism a year or so back so odd, you could see what he was going to become but it just wasn't quite working at the time.

I said to my brother-in-law (mackem) that the worst thing for them was that we got 0-3 and then subbed on one of the best players in the league, it was just cruel really.
