Root out first ball, Bairstow out for 7, Yorkshire heading for defeat. What have England done to them?

Bears are 144-2 at Lunch - Wright was in as Nightwatchman but has got on to 47 with Rhodes falling for 50 as the only wicket this morning.

40 overs down so still plenty of time for batting points but I hope they get a bit of a move on later.

Good morning for the Bears with the bat.  Only day two, so hopefully they can really push on from here and set a challenging 2nd innings total for Derbyshire to get.

Bell 44

Wright still there onto 58 and Trott now in with him.

No idea if Sidebottom will be able to bat though.

Bears have seized control. Aside from that, why did this game start yesterday? All other games started today - with a chance of stretching into Bank Holiday Monday and more spectators. I don't get the thinking behind these decisions.

Wouldn't say they had seized control just yet.  If they can get to a lead of over a hundred quite quickly tomorrow then they should be in a good position to try and push on and win the game.

Impressed that we seem to be scoring more quickly. Admittedly, against lesser opposition.

We would have beaten you last time as well if it hadn't rained. We will beat you within three days.
