Hi Damo. Great to hear that Joe got to see the game today. Dallow Lama classic! Quite a few up from Dorset today. We saw plenty on the way back down the M5. See u at Fulham, I'm driving the Fallow Lama.

This one is my favourite.

Quote
Look they are not up yet plenty of twists and turns to come but they are jammy feckers I will say that we are at a point now that if they don't go up it will turn into a financial meltdown for them but it's villa we are talking about here so they will come up smelling of roses probably, didnt mind playing them when I was a kid but just dread it nowadays I absolutely dispise everything that club stands for though,I will admit they effect a part of my life unfortunately

Refreshing admission.

Villa affect Every Blues Fan's Life. Every Day. It has been the same for well over 50 years and probably 140 years. There is nothing new. If Blues were Champions League winners10 seasons running and we were in the Northern Premier we would still affect them. It really is that simple.

As someone posted a couple of years back Villa, Blues and Albion fans have one thing in common, We Are All Obsessed by The Villa.

They seem a bit pissed off about losing to us. You would think they would allow little old us our day in the sun whilst still being content in the knowledge that they are bigger and better than us, have more fans than us and carry the name of the city.

Fantastic day.

Probably been mentioned already, and testimony to the spirit in the team at the mo but I love how as Connors shot hits the back of the net, Hutton turns and runs arms aloft in elation towards a screaming John Terry!

Bloody marvellous stuff.

I’ve just remembered something.

An hour or two after the game, outside the Aston Social with a load of others, along came a Merc with a fella hanging out the  sunroof saluting the crowd.

The fella was Ian Taylor.

Please tell me this is true...
It certainly is mate.  Massive smile on his face as he came past giving it loads.  Magic

And there was I thinking I couldn’t possibly like that man any more then I did already...

Ah Terry Cooper and his insistence it was offside.

There's a circus in the town...

Huh, how?

Dean Saunders in 1993. Cooper and Jimmy Greaves had no idea what the offside rule was.

In your own half you mean as was the case

Cooper, greaves and whoever the defender was. That can be the only reason he was 5 yards in our half with Deano behind him.

I like that we were able to bring on Grabban for Hogan to maintain the balance of that front four later in the game, as opposed to maybe Davis and change the way we play slightly to accommodate him.

I'm just a bit worried though that it looks like Jordan Bowery has grown a beard and tried to sneak back into the club in disguise...

A couple of their fans have let their side down, saw a couple of them tweet "surrounded by Vile fans in the Square Peg". That can't be true? We don't venture into the city centre because we're scared.

With Jordan Bowery leading the line now we would be unstoppable. 14 wins-on-the-bounce unstoppable.

A few of them on their website want Cotterill out after today. To be fair they are being shot down by a more measured majority who accept we are a better team than them. Although one did comment, "all of the team and Cotts should be hung on the crossbars at Stans* tonight for their lack of endeavour today and make an example for all who come after that they have to give 100% against the vile."

*I presume 'Stans' means the sty unless they are planning a mass execution at the houses of Collymore, Petrov or Staunton.

A lovely routine win against the Rags, what a great day.
One thing that  REALLY stands out is the way the players are looking out for each other. Quite a few times I have seen senior players checking on Jack, and being protective of him, Hourihane in particular.  I love that.

Well done you Villa boys.
Commented on exactly the same, remember being at Newcastle away and Hogan was lying on the floor injured and not a single Villa player even went to check he was ok yet today every time they touched Jack or anyone else you had Snoddy/ Jedi / Terry et al standing up for each other as a team . Great , well done from Dr Tony to the ball boys, as a club we are on the move again. Maybe just Maybe proud history bright future.
