Check out the bitterness on the ‘Villa thread’ over on SHA. Classic stuff.

You're not wrong  ;D

I think this is my favourite:
Quote
Glad it's over but for how long? Maybe a little contentious, maybe a bit of a hissy fit kind of a reaction, but this afternoon I thought to myself that I almost don't mind if they do go up (which I believe is now nailed on). I am sick of them, and I'm sick of these games now. I'll look forward to not facing them for a bit.
They've rolled the dice, shit or bust to return to the premier, at stake either survival or financial meltdown. Bigger clubs in the past have done the same and come unstuck, Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, them feckers though, obviously come up smelling of roses.
They're up and I'm paying them no more mind this season, but am I alone in almost thinking "oh just go up then and f*ck off out of the way you bunch of jammy, weasly little snidey pricks

So much despondency and bitterness in one post.

I have waited a long time for Villa, England (rugby) and Gloucester to win on the same weekend. For it to happen when we beat Blues to go second is the whatever goes on the cherry on the icing on the cake.

I’m with you there Mike, Gloucester city won too to complete the set for me.

I'm with you Mike except replace Gloucester with an amazing win at Exeter for the mighty Worcester Warriors (shame the England cricket team lost)

Look they are not up yet plenty of twists and turns to come but they are jammy feckers I will say that we are at a point now that if they don't go up it will turn into a financial meltdown for them but it's villa we are talking about here so they will come up smelling of roses probably, didnt mind playing them when I was a kid but just dread it nowadays I absolutely dispise everything that club stands for though,I will admit they effect a part of my life unfortunately

They all weirdly seem to have this fantasy of: Villa not going up this season = financial meltdown.

Where the fuck they have got this notion from is anyone's guess. Maybe they think if they pray hard enough it will come true?

And breathe.

I love 'em. I've said it before, but God must be a Villa fan to have given us Birmingham City to laugh at.

Aye.

Imagine if we actually had a club with a bit of pedigree on our doorstep; a ruthless outfit that could have taken advantage of our travails.

Instead we get That Lot.

It's very very funny how much it eats at them to lose to us yet again. You'd have thought they'd be used to it by now but no, every game that passes a bit of them dies inside.

We have the best ground in the country, Albion have the highest, small heath have the coldest from being in our shadow for 143 years.

Maybe they think that just because their shitty outfit have been laughably mismanaged by criminal types - then it's about time we suffered the same fate? Bless.

The beauty is that whilst they are obsessing  about us and fantasizing about us falling foul over FFP they are issuing financial warnings and by all accounts are going to lose an astronimical sum for a team languishing around the relegation zone of the championship.

If I were them I'd pay more attention to their situation than ours, but then they wouldn't be noses if they did that would they?

They must have huge vitamin D deficiency.

Surely we'd cut our cloth accordingly.

Something which were they to do, they'd soon realise they're going around naked.

Remember the Sports presenter on Sky News called Chris Skudder?

This is what he tweeted after the game...

https://twitter.com/chris_skudder

That's always their fall back option after a defeat, we all live in the shires (and Erdington) and have our Butlers inform us of the result.
