I've got a tremendous, and original, aside to use which compares our Caledonian full-back to a Teutonic defensive stalwart, while aluding to a well-known phrase criticising an older lady's choice of attire.

Might post it later if we win, as a treat.

Which reminds me...does anyone recall the disparaging comments made by Paul Breitner before The Mighty Villa whipped the European Champions Trophy from under his silly perm and ‘tache?

I've only just noticed we have a sponsor on the back of our shirt. Has that been there all season?

No just a few weeks now. I’ve also noticed PL clubs have sponsorship or something on their sleeves.

Ta. It's not particularly intrusive, in fairness.

I think it's Everton that have "Angry Birds" on their sleeves, it looks crap.

That's 3 points in the bag.

Now on to another 3 against Sheffield Wednesday, which I'm coming to, and cementing our top 6 place!

UTV!

Did you just get out of a Delorean? Because it’s 2-0 in the game I’m watching with about 1/2 hour to go.

He said that’s 3 points in the bag with 1/2hr to go

Who would have thought Hutton would turn into Phillip Lahm when he went to left back. Incredible, he looks miles more comfortable than at right back.

So it's Hutton dressed as Lahm

2011 called asking for its joke back *winky*

Quite. I think Mazrim was the first person I remember making that joke, and I don't think he's posted since McLeish was managing us.

It was posted on here before that and Mazrim had a strop when it was pointed out it wasn't his original joke.

And that he was a short arse.

Vertically challenged.

"I'M FIVE FOOT TEN!!!!"*

(Not me).

That's 4 inches less than Sammy Morgan

I think we've played very well so far. Defence looks solid, and Davis has done well. Keep going Villa.

Jedi coming on for Josh.

Can someone explain to me why yet again Jedinak’s FIFA avatar is the unshaven bloke who runs a used clothing shop and not the rugged bearded warrior we have playing for us?

I really do like Davis. The lad's hold-up play is a joy.

What a find he is, given that Villa have rarely found one of that kind that good. I just hope that he does not get us promoted, only to move to Bayern Munich, then retire to sound pompous in headphones on Sky Sports....

Bayern Munich!?

Most top teams insist on their main strikers scoring, not just hold the ball up. Plus, this is the 2nd division.

Take Davis off before he gets sent off.
