Yes Whelan is like a rubbish Heskey.

He makes Kinsella looks like Patrick Vieira.

Yep he is always 5 yards away from where he needs to be.

Not the worst half of the day, which was at Anfield, but close.

That game was a shocker

The midfield needs to do so much more.

I thought we were awful that half, they had 10 attempted we had 1.
We are standing off them, so far they have not been good enough to score.
Hopefully that is our bad half.

Apparently they have an actual proper striker on the bench. If he comes on and we keep giving their wings so much space...

Davies looks out of it today, maybe Hogan on for second half.

Was going to mention that match. Very similar to this in Wolves having a lot of play but with almost an extra man as they don't have a striker. Lots of good play in and around the box.

I'm not sure that Wolves can play any better. For all their possession they've looked most dangerous at set pieces.

Think one goal good enough here.

We are a shambles

No we’re not. Decent away performance, keeping it tight.

I wouldn't say it's a decent performance. It's pretty abject and toothless going forwards. Fortunately the back 5 look solid and well organised.

We say that but it only takes one Wolves goal and it's another poor 1-0 away defeat under Bruce.

With what we have on the pitch we should be at least capable of having some decent strikes on target and have a spell of pressure. Have we even had a corner?

Typical championship fare

Typical? I honestly think this is the first time I've ever seen a championship team play a 343 with a false 9

Their movement is really causing us problems

Jota looks a great player

Do we try and see it out, or make changes? Limited options but I would like us to change it up front, not a massive difference between 1 or 0 points.

I’d be happy with a draw here

Not as happy as Bruce.

Is Houriane playing in a five man defence?

The role Whelan is playing he really needs to show more energy.

The role Whelan is playing really shows what an arse Bruce is. Be prepared for Whelan to have his usual shit second half, misplacing passes and looking dead on his feet. If only we had a player like Hourihane that could play in the role Whelan has been given.

I'm a bit surprised by the reaction here. We playing one of the better teams in the league and have limited them to one shot on target. We closing down well and putting a shift in. We just need to find a way of getting our better players 20 yards further forward. JK needs to be a bit stronger and KD should have had a pop first time then on his other opening taken a touch or two towards goal. Not the disaster that seems to be being described on the pages.
