As much as I've always been one to defend Keinan, I think keeping him at this point would be a mistake and also unfair on him.  Realistically he is never going to get an extended run here now, and his stock at Forest is as high as it's likely to get.  He may well go on to do do really well and be worth a lot more, but if we could get £10-15 million now I'd say that is good business that suits all parties (and also bearing in mind than even during this extended run at Forest he has still missed quite a few games with injury).

With five subs next season, KD would be a relatively cheap option of the bench. However, I agree that that role would be unfair on someone who needs games in order to find out just what kind of player he can become

How would we give him enough game time along with blooding Archer on top of Ings/Watkins or their replacements should one leave? Keinan would be back to square one at best, getting occasional 10 minute cameos. Set the boy free.

The only way we're getting £10m for Keinan is if Forest get promoted.  If they don't, I think they'd give £5m at the most.  I don't see another Championship side paying that, unless it's a recently relegated one.

I also I think we need to end this idea that he "has proved he can't play the premier league".  He simply hasn't played enough in the premier league to decide, full stop.  He's had something like 700 Premier League minutes for us, and 500-odd of those were in our first season back up in a side battling relegation.  The vast majority of those appearances were coming off the bench when we were chasing games .

If Forest do get promoted, and he signs for them, he could have as many premier league minutes for them by the end of September as he got for us in two and a half years.

This is NOT me saying we need to keep him and play him - as others have said, I think his time has gone here and I hope we're looking for players of a higher level, but if we let him go on the cheap, without a decent sell-on clause, I will be gutted.  I genuinely think in a couple of years he could be doing a job for someone in the premier league like Antonio has done for West Ham.  And I'd be delighted to see it, because I think without his injury problems, he could have been a fan favourite.

I couldnít get over how fast me was with the ball. His driving runs were fantastic. This loan deal has been the making of him, and Iím so pleased for him.

It's a rare skill in a bloke his size. His performances won't have gone unnoticed elsewhere, I think clubs in our division will be in for him.

In a league that houses Weghorst, Joelinton (midfielder-extraordinaire transformation notwithstanding), of course he could!

I don't think we will and as much as I dislike saying it, we have probably moved on.
He looks decent in the championship when hes actually fit which always seems to be an issue. If we are trying to break into the top 8 places I'm not sure hes good enough at that level.

Hopefully Forest go up and they buy him which will probably suit him better.

the league houses them; the they're not exactly scoring loads of goals. Joelinton is better in midfield

He's strong and quick with good skill. I'd like him here at the moment as an alternative, he offers something different to the forward options.

The problem is his injury record, even if you think he's good enough to be given a chance. He was doing well at Forest, then boom, out for a month again.

He has the talent i've no doubt about that, when he came on, being Villa, I watched him very closely. I did notice that when off the ball he spends a lot of almost motionless. I think he could be brilliant, but does he want it bad enough.

And thatís the gamble. A fit Davis with a good few games behind him is an asset. A stop start Davis with hardly any  games adds nothing.
