Much much lesser
It's difficult to visualise a lesser Lukaku than the one we saw last night.

He was totally ineffectual. Tuchel is getting twitchy. Can see him being shipped out in the summer.

I think we'll be cutting ties with Davis in the summer.

I still believe in him but I think his ship has sailed now at Villa

I disagree, his biggest problem has been staying fit. We have never seen what he is capable of because he is rarely available to play.

He's been on the bench for four different games under Gerrard so far.

Didn't play a single minute in any of them despite the end result being different for a few.

Seems managers rate him but don't rate him enough to actually play him in games.

He'll be gone in the summer. Interesting how he gets on in the championship in long run as Forest is good club currently with their form.

Ha true. The wheels have fallen off to the point that the supposed dream transfer “back home” is a nightmare. So much so he dreams of being back in Italy and their love of black footballers. Mind you play us every week and he’s winning the golden boot

Brilliant that the wheels fall of after he does us in both the cup and league fixtures.  Hope he fucks off back to Italy.

He scored the other night so well done Keinan. His 2 goals in 5 games for Forest is a career best streak.

He set-up another glorious chance too. If he gets to double figures by May we'll be selling him for £10m+ which is a great turn-around considering so many on here think he's shit and worth 2p.

I'm glad he's doing well. I don't think he has any future with us, but if he can stay fit and bag a few goals then we might get a few quid for him and he can finally get his career up and running properly.

If fit, he ain't shit anyway. After watching Ings v Everton, Davis might well be a better sub to bring on when under the cosh.

But Davis has long needed these regular games at a decent level. Bruce and Smith didn't do right by him really. Good to see him thriving, those scrappy goals will do wonder for his confidence.

I'm not sure how you attribute blame to Bruce or Smith for Davis being permanently injured for pretty much the whole time he's been with us.

What all strikers need is decent service. There hasn't been much of that going down other than when Joe was falling over and occasionally threading a ball through.

He was often injured, not permanently injured. When we brought Grabban in that time, he could and should have gone on loan. Still had likes of Hogan around.

When we went up, he could and should have gone on loan too. Smith kept him around and only got the odd run when the likes of Wesley and later Samatta bombed. I'd also strongly question how his injuries were managed in his younger days with us, same with Andre Green. Constant muscle injuries at critical parts of their development. We seem to be doing it right with Archer and others. Only one way to learn men's football.
