He'll never be prolific but I like him, think he offers something different to what we have.

Sorry, but I just don't rate him at all. I bet he's delighted with his new deal.

What level do you think he's at?

Championship at best.

How much is your bias for Cam Archer influencing your opinion on Keinan and Vassilev ?  ;)

Ha! Fair point. I do try and look at things objectively but I can understand how it might come across at times. It is difficult on occasion to be totally unbiased, to be honest. However, I do still genuinely think that Archer is better than both of them but Smith thinks differently.

And do you think he has potential to be better?

I hope so for his and our sake but given the number of chances and opportunities he has been given over the years I just cannot see it coming to fruition.

No other factors at play here, Leeg?

None at all?

No idea why we would sign him to send on loan. The last 2 games shows he is a potential asset to the team.

I’m sure this has been answered by now but his contract was running down so there was a risk that he’d be a success on loan then refuse to sign a new deal.  This means that Villa are the primary beneficiaries of any improvement.  If he fails, I’d imagine the wages are still pretty low so minimal risk.

I like him.  A good solid player who does what is asked of him.  Good attitude, good temperament.

He's not good enough.

Doesn't score goals, that is bad enough, but pretty much never looks like having shots at this level.

He is asked primarily to sustain play in the opposition half.  He does it well.  He is the antidote to us being overrun in midfield when less reliable players give the ball away.  He cost us very little, I don't suppose we pay him a great deal.  He owes us nothing at a time when we have had processions of players mugging a soft living off us.

Once McGinn and Davis got the ball in the corner in injury time, you knew you could relax and that the points were in the bag.
