Some Twittalk that we've priced Davis out of a move to Forest and they've turned their attentions to a striker in Germany. Mind you, according to Percy, they're happy to shell out £17.5m for this chap (Taiwo Awoniyi, plays for Mainz). I wonder what we're asking for Keinan.

The stats for the striker in Germany are pretty decent (so were weighorst’s) so I can see why theyre hedging their bets.  If we keep Archer at the club I’d let them loan him again for a hefty loan fee, i dunno £2.5m plus his wages.

Keinan will be another whose contract ends and will eventually leave us on a free transfer (probably in 2032)

Don’t Forest probably need two strikers? Not sure if Grabban has agreed a new deal or how much they want to rely on him next season.

Even if they sign Davis, they’ll probably want an out and out goalscorer too. Davis has contributed in assists and buildup play, as well as creating space for others to score, so they may want a striker to play with him.

They also have Sam Sturridge(?), I think and maybe others.

He was on loan as well wasn't he? I think they need two strikers

Sounds like they were loaned-up to the eyeballs like us in 2019. Bad start to the season, amazing late dash to the play-offs and having to build half a team in the summer. Barely worked for us so good luck Forest...

I think a loan might be the best option for everyone. If we get a decent fee for it - and I'm not really sure what would be realistic - then it means that if he does start playing well in the Premier League, we can either use him next season or get a much bigger fee for him. At the moment, he's played well for half a season in the Championship, so his stock isn't massive, but he did show a glimpse of his potential.

For Forest, they get a permanent transfer with this guy from Germany and a loan of Keinan for under £20 million. Keinan will get more minutes for them than he would for us, and so a chance to finally prove himself at this level.

If it all goes wrong, and he's injured or out of form, no one has really lost that much from where we are now. We'll get a lower fee for him next year from a Championship club (£4/5m?), which wouldn't be the end of the world.

A year in the premier league would be a great loan for him, given I suspect he's probably behind Ollie, Ings and Archer right now - plus whoever else we sign (no way we're going into next season without adding a striker).   I don't think he'd score a lot of goals, especially in a struggling side, but he wouldn't need to. A year of playing regularly, with a few goals (even just 5 or 6 in total), and more importantly showing he can do a good job for the team at this level means he'll be worth considerably more in a year's time.  If he somehow reached double figures he'd be worth a fortune.

Also, it's quite low risk for Forest, we could even agree a fee for next summer if they stay up, and they can hand him back if they get relegated.

I imagine they'll be building their attack around Brennan Johnson.

Now there's a player I'd sign if we could.  Offer them Keinan and £20 million.

Time to cut him loose. He's never going to be a regular at Villa.

His value will never be higher so would be surprised if he's still here on 1st September.

Can see it being one of those situations where Forest start the season slowly and come back in for him on August 31st after we've given him a few sub cameos.

Also have to think Dean Smith would've been watching with interest at how he played at championship level once he got a run of starts so can see him bidding aswell as him and Pukki would be good combination at that level.

He had a couple of cracking games in FA cup aswell so they'll be plenty of interest in him so wouldn't really understand us keeping him just to give him constant 5-10 minute cameos at end of the game.

Wondered why he didn’t feature in Oz and just found out he had a hamstring injury!  This lad is destined to never get the chance to prove himself at VP, such a shame
