Oh, you mean the game where he set up the first goal with a strong run and pass, beating the defender?

The same game where plenty of posters on here went out of their way to say how well he had played?

Yeah, that game!

I am judging Davis based on each time Iíve seen him and overall since that game against Brighton on the last day of the championship season (where he hit the ball as hard as he could and it trickles to the keeper) he has been quite poor and never stood as being anything more than a lower end championship player that does give his all. I am sure he is a great guy, who I really want to succeed but it doesnít look like heís ever going to cut the mustard. We arenít talking about a youngster anymore. I think the fact that you can pick out single games like Bristol last week indicates that he isnít very good on a consistent basis.

He is just not good enough. We should never have given him a new contract

It would be interesting to know which if any championship clubs wanted to either buy him or wanted him on loan?

He will end up playing in division 1 or 2 when his contract ends with us

He had a bad game FFS, like he had a decent game against Bristol City.  He isn't ever going to be a world beater but as a backup striker, I think he's fine for where we are.  I do think he needs one or 2 in off his backside to get a bit of confidence, but reading this forum isn't going to do him any good..

Stop calling him a striker! Centre-forward if you want, but not striker.

Someone clearly sees something in him, not sure yet what it is but he certainly needs some confidence and a loan out to the Championship until January might do it.

I think it's more likely to be from January, once Wesley is fit.

With regards to "one or two in off his backside" I agree. But the biggest problem with Kienan is he rarely anticipates a goalscoring chance so doesn't find himself in a position to get a lucky break like that. There was an incident last night where the keeper spilled an El Ghazi shot. Kienan was nowhere near it. Someone like Owen or Lineker would always follow up a shot and gamble on getting a lucky break. He does possess certain qualities but goal poaching isn't one of them. It's something that could be worked on with the right coaching. If he's going to ever make it as a top striker I'd say it's imperative.

that's the point though Mouse - he's a back up striker who hardly ever strikes.

I'm willing to bet his backside is more accurate in front of goal than his feet.

He isn't fine for where we are at all though.  He's absolutely useless as a striker.  Looking reasonably competent as a support player was just about adequate a few years ago when the likes of Heskey played in a 4-4-2 with an out-and-out goal scorer like Owen, but in these days of 4-3-3 he's no use whatsoever.

Where's Keinan got to now?  Was on the bench for Arsenal, now missing again.  Surely he'd have been on the bench if fit?
