If Green is fit I would be tempted to play him in the middle of the forward line - I just feel we need pace up top when away from home if we sit deep and hit on the break. Seemed to work with Leicester and Vardy.

A game of two halves. First half we'll give them a lesson in how to keep possession of the football without actually doing anything constructive, a real master class in knocking it between the 4 defenders, goalkeeper and holding midfielder creating beautiful rectangular passing movements in our own half. Second half not so good, a combination of tiring ourselves out first half with this excessive ball retention and Cardiff realising at half time that we're actually fucking shite will mean a torrid time, Cardiff running us ragged and scoring twice in the first 20 mins followed by a period of saving themselves for their next game, knowing we're beaten. Ours will be then trudging about heads down, with a couple of inexplicable substitutions doing nothing to gee things up or improve the level of performance.
So... A 2-0 defeat.

At least Jack isn't there for Warnock to wait for on the sidelines at the end to mouth-off at him.

We should probably play 4-4-2 and look to hit them on the break, tbh. It's probably the best we'll get out of a Bruce team and it can be effective - especially against a Warnock team who, at home, will be looking to make the play but won't have been given the tools to do so by their manager. 1-0 Villa, probably an o.g. or a set piece or Glenn Whelan repeating Dalian's goal against Wimbledon touch for touch.

Steve Bruce says we need to be more like Cardiff. Carry on the way you're going Steve and it will be mission accomplished!

From the Evening Mail.

Quote
Asked about Aston Villa ahead of Saturday's match, Warnock said: "They’re still one of those teams aren’t they? When I was a kid all those years ago, I used to love the colour of the shirts.

“It was always one of the top teams. There’s always been an aura about it, Villa."

Cardiff won this fixture last season, capitalising upon one of those shocking Villa away performances to clinch a 1-0 victory, but Warnock reckons the visitors are the favourites this weekend.

“If we lose to Villa it won’t be a shock," he added.

“If we win it might be but I think we’ll be like that against all the big teams, the sides that have come down, your Sheffield Wednesdays, Leeds, and all these clubs we’ll be underdogs going into all these.

“And that’s probably the best we can be really, that helps us in that determination. In every walk of life, people want to show what they can do. Our lads are no different.

I could see yesterday the lads are all really looking forward to it. It doesn't mean you're guaranteed anything – in this division there will be highs and lows, despondency and euphoria."

Staying positive,   A draw and a win so far.  So a draw, no I mean a win, shit I haven't a clue.

Nailed on draw - 0/0. They will struggle to break through what is now a pretty solid defense, but sadly, the same will be true up the other end.

Defeat. Played off the park by a shit team.

Can't wait to re quote this Saturday.

Why? In fact, don't bother, any chance you could just go and post your trolling rubbish elsewhere.

Amen.

And 2-1 us. Unconvincing but it doesn't matter, the juggernaut is moving.

Why don't you take your negativity and sycophantic views somewhere else?
