One of my biggest regrets not going to this game. Went to Middlesbrough the week before, I couldn't afford to go to both.

The cynic in me firmly beleives that 10 million votes could be cast for Dalian and Beckham would still win.

Daily Heil have done a piece about footballs 'best' since it started in 1992. Best player, best manager, best goal.
Well done to Mike Keegan and Peter Jensen for picking out Dalians wonder goal.

Link below. I was unsure wether to do it with the ongoing debate regarding tabloid shitmongers but here you go if you want to read. WARNING does contain a lot of sycophantic predicable guff.

Either of Le Tissier's two against Newcastle in 1993 were way better than the one listed here vs Blackburn.

Pretty special player Lee Tissier. It was criminal how he was overlooked by England.

British football was behind the curve when it came to playing with a 'number 10' style player.  Instead of being used in that role, players like Le Tissier and Merson were just shifted out wide in a 4-4-2.
