Fair play to Westmeath beating the Dubs to win their second ever Leinster title (The Dubs have won it 63 times). Watched it in a pub in Dublin, the locals weren't happy. Westmeath were by far the better team on the day though.

Hon the Farney. Massive (and somewhat unexpected) win for Monaghan over Derry.

And we ran Armagh close but ah well. If we had to lose to anyone it might as well be them.

Like Roscommon, a narrow one point defeat for Monaghan so we're both in Round 2B. How much further we go depends on Tuesday's draw for both 2B and 2A. I'm keen to avoid Kerry, or Dublin away, if possible.

Draw has been made. Winners of 2A go straight into the quarter-finals. Winners of 2B player the losers of 2A f.or the other 4 places.

Round 2A
Tyrone v Mayo
Louth v Armagh
Donegal v Cork
Galway v Westmeath

Round 2B
Derry v Meath
Kildare v Kerry
Cavan v Dublin
Monaghan v Roscommon

I think we should just have enough for Monaghan, but a trip to Clones is always tricky. Handy draws for Kerry, Dublin, and Gakway.

Mixed feelings on the Leinster Hurling final. I usually want Galway to do well, but wouldn't begrudge Dublin a second title in 65 years. Plus it's important that hurling thrives in the capital.

Disappointing display by Dublin. Galway worthy winners of their fourth Leinster title, it never really looked in doubt.

Good Munster hurling final so far with Cork leading by 2 points at the break. Luimneach Abú!

That was a cracking final. Limerick win it by a point.
