Fair play to Westmeath beating the Dubs to win their second ever Leinster title (The Dubs have won it 63 times). Watched it in a pub in Dublin, the locals weren't happy. Westmeath were by far the better team on the day though.

Hon the Farney. Massive (and somewhat unexpected) win for Monaghan over Derry.

And we ran Armagh close but ah well. If we had to lose to anyone it might as well be them.

Like Roscommon, a narrow one point defeat for Monaghan so we're both in Round 2B. How much further we go depends on Tuesday's draw for both 2B and 2A. I'm keen to avoid Kerry, or Dublin away, if possible.

Mixed feelings on the Leinster Hurling final. I usually want Galway to do well, but wouldn't begrudge Dublin a second title in 65 years. Plus it's important that hurling thrives in the capital.

A very disappointing day for the Rossies, they didn't show up at all yesterday. Well-deserved win for Monaghan, hope they make the quarters at least. There were a couple of other surprising results with Cork and Meath winning in Donegal and Derry, which won't have displeased Armagh and Galway.

That late goal could prove costly for Armagh as they've been drawn away to Kerry. Winnable ties for Monaghan and Mayo.

It's Kerry's to lose now, but I'm hoping that Galway can bring Sam west. I expect wins for Kerry, Galway, and Monaghan (narrowly), with Cork v Mayo too tight to call.
