Hold a strong dislike for Liverpool fans having  been there several times from mid 70's  onwards.  Friendly, blar  blar load of toot.

As for Coventry come on Exeter we need to see a miracle.

My daughter and partner at Wembley, supporting Exeter, has told me the Coventry support was fantastic.
Her other half watched the Villa game with me told me watching Exeter in the first half was like watching the Villa.  One up front totally isolated and miles away from any support.
So we should scrub the Exeter manager off our wish list, although I think he is off to MK Dons.  Strange move.

Always had a soft spot for Exeter after we thrashed them in the league cup in the 80s. Any team who concedes four to Simon Stainrod, deserves our sympathy.

I got his autograph that night at Exeter. My pen didn't work so he scribbled on his boot and bingo! Four goals!

Stainrod almost ran me over outside Villa Park once.  He was pulling out on to the Trinity Road as I was passing the holy gates.

He never was prolific at hitting the target.

I didn't know Stainrod was an African name

Nice one TV.  Good job I was a skinny lad back then, and quicker on my feet!

I had a few quid on Coventry 3 Exeter 1 at 22/1 before the game. I put the game on the telly just before Coventry made it 3-0. Even then I wasn't optimistic as I thought at 3-0 Exeter would pretty much throw the towel in. You can imagine how delighted I was when they pulled that late goal back. The commentator made a comment along the lines of "at this stage it doesn't really matter". I think I might have even shouted out loud "it bloody does to me"!

Least there's been one Villa win this weekend!  :)

Mellberg almost ran me over on the car park outside the Wylde Green NatWest once. He was going to the cashpoint.

"Which footballers have nearly run you over?" is a classic Danny Baker segment in the making

Not a player but Nigel Kennedy nearly ran over my foot in his graffited BMW in the North Stand car park.
